Carbon footprint
Most widespread sustainability metric
Carbon footprint
Carbon footprint calculation is an essential tool for tackling climate change. It calculates the amount of greenhouse gasses (GHG) that an organization is emitting to the atmosphere. It gives organizations a base for developing a carbon footprint reduction strategy.
The methodology for Carbon footprint calculation is defined in the GHG Protocol. Companies in the EU are now legally required to calculate, report, and reduce their carbon footprint with the CSRD directive.
What we can offer
Carbon footprint calculations
- Full carbon footprint calculation for your organization (Scopes 1, 2 & 3) in line with GHG Protocol and CSRD requirements
- Help you calculate complex Scope 3 value-chain categories. For example:
- C1 - Purchased goods and services (e.g., modeling emissions factors)
- C11 - Use of sold products (e.g., we can develop a methodology suitable to your company and the data you have)
- C15 - Investments (e.g., developing tools to estimate lifetime emissions resulting from your investment decisions)
- Building custom carbon footprint calculation tools based on your company's needs
- Verification of your carbon footprint reports
Beyond carbon footprint calculations
- Setting climate targets in line with Science based targets initiative and CSRD
- Developing ambitious but feasible decarbonization strategies
We have access to the best emission factors databases and LCA modeling software and a team that stays up-to-date with trends in sustainability reporting.
