Sustainability assessments
Evaluating sustainability is essential for achieving ambitious environmental & social goals.
General
The world is embarking on a transition towards climate neutrality where limiting emissions of greenhouse gasses and mitigating climate change is a global priority. However, numerous environmental and social challenges beyond climate change also require our attention.
At Laboratory for Heat and Power, we are performing comprehensive sustainability assessments of products & systems. We are evaluating the environmental performance, economic viability, and social impacts of established and emerging technologies.
The methodologies we use are life cycle sustainability assessments (LCA, LCC & S-LCA), carbon footprint calculations, eco-design, criticality assessments, end-of-life strategies, circularity assessments, and beyond.
